The WWSHS has completed its fourth year and our membership is still growing, we hope to go from strength to strength again in our fifth year and membership is welcomed from any heavy horse owner and enthusiast.

Our members are happy to take time out to talk with you about their horses and the breed in general so seek some of them at the shows.

The Shire is also known as the gentle giant of the horse world, a noble and majestic equine with an appetite for work. Within our members we have ridden shires, ploughing and working shires and also shires who are put to wedding carriages.

Every year we have been involved in fundraising events for charities and are proud to have supported the following charities:-

Wales Air Ambulance Bronglais Hospital Glangwili Hospital Withybush Hospital Cardigan Hospital ‘All Wales Ploughing Championships’ Dyfed-Powys Police Benevolent Fund Hafan Hedd Macmillan Nurses.
